If I plug in the dongle while the game is loading, I get partial controller support. Chatting becomes impossible as I am forced to use the Big Picture overlay (I usually end up chatting through my phone's Steam application) If I plug in the dongle and start the controller before/in the launcher, I get controller only support with icons everywhere. Right now it loads the controller differently depending on what I do when I start the game, which makes no sense.
This has been requested numerous time for years, it should already be in the game. I see a lot of posts about the controller mapping since the new update, but none about having a way to disable the controller from the game, which would allow us to fix the controller mess brought in the last update ourselves.
